EBA Essentials is an evidence-based assessment tool designed for assessment psychologists to support the interpretation of diagnostic decision-making using 2×2 contingency table data. The application computes core diagnostic efficiency statistics (sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV), likelihood ratios (LR+, LR−), the diagnostic odds ratio (DOR), and an estimated area under the curve (AUC), and integrates these indices within a Bayesian framework via an interactive Fagan nomogram to facilitate pre- to post-test probability updating. An accompanying interpretive layer provides immediate, clinically meaningful context for evaluating the strength of evidence for ruling conditions in or out. The tool is intended to augment, not replace, professional judgment and is best used in conjunction with comprehensive assessment data and domain expertise.
